Canon 550D
Rumour was it that this model, Canon 550D was coming out soon about a month ago. Its finally out and it has more power packed inside that little black box. The most apparent improvement over 500D was the megapixels, from 15.1 megapixel to 18 mgeapixel. OVERKILL. In addition, the video quality of the camera improve from a 20 fps to 30 fps (high level of fps enough for film quality). Lastly, the continuous shooting speed was increased to 3.7, an increase that most users would welcome. =)

However, the increase in performance comes at a price, the horizontal voerage had reduced from 100% to approx 95%. But I doubt this small drawback would affect the consumer decision in buying the new 550D. Cheers to Canon for making the prices of DSLR fall.
