Question
Artist(Band):Old 97's

She woke from a dream
Her head was on fire
Why was he so nervous?

He took her to the park
She crossed her arms
And lowered her eyelids

Some day somebody's gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to
Once in your life
Maybe tonight I've got a question for you

She'd had no idea
Started to cry
She said in a good way

He took her by the hand
Walked her back home
They took the long way

Some day somebody's gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to
Once in your life
Maybe tonight I've got a question for you
I've got a question for you

ps. cant really find the actual mtv (too old a song?).. oh well, maybe they didn't make one in the first place. a quick search online showed that there are many people who sang this song and posted their version on the famous you tube.

Thursday, January 24, 2008,

this is one of the local floorball bloopers that was actually caught on tape (got quite some time ago).. haha. the coach dennis coached tampines polytechnic and ntu girl team for ivp. even though his coaching method is kind of funy, we still respect him in one way or another. haha. watch out for his dynamic entrance.. lol.

just when i made up my mind to purchase the sanyo AAA rechargable battery from the shelves, i was told by the cashier that there isn't any barcode / price tag and thus she couldn't register the product on the point of sale.

cashier: "where did you get the item from?" (in chinese with a little impatient in her tone)

customer:"over there, from the shelves." (pointing to the shelves)

cashier then signalled to another staff to assist to her to find the same product with a price tag. that staff took couple of minutes before attending to her request.. after a few minutes, that staff come over saying that he couldn't find the price tag. he then turned to me suggesting to me to take the 4 pack instead.

customer:"no. (shaked my head)"

the reason why i don't take that take up that offer was from the past experience, my weekly usage of the AAA batteries wouldn't even go beyond 2 pieces, leaving the other 2 pieces to drain off.. definite waste of money that way. furthermore, it ain't cheap for rechargeable batteries. 2 pieces for $13 and 4 pieces for $25.

cashier:"go find the price tag by hook or by crook."

after sometime for like to 10 over minutes, he returned to the cashier, saying that the computer that prints the price tag had broken down.. WTF. what kind of shop is this, when they can turn down customers because they couldn't find the price tag.. why open shop when you ain't even ready to sell off your product. with this kind of service, i doubt this shop will be successful in maintaining the healthy profit.. go.. close down like what the courts did.

i am a difficult customer. i knew that there is a piece with price tag. (obviously that particular staff didn't search carefully enough, and he isn't sure of what he is selling.) that why i knew the price. i think i should work as the mystery shopper and i would definitely rated down their service. waste trip.. waste time.

knock knock..
Wednesday, January 09, 2008,

who's there?

this afternoon, two hall officers went room to room, doing surprise checks.. even though i was at the tv lounge reading newspaper, i couldn't help to turn my head each time to look around to see who were doing all the knocking on the doors. as i returned to my room, i witnessed them opening the door of the occupants if there were no answer. that action particularly strike fear in me.

you see, i have everything to hide.

an undeclared fridge.. hefty fine goes up to $144, which can be rather expensive for a no income student. realising that its not really a great idea to test the system, i made a trip over to the hall office to had that fridge declared. there goes the plan of concealing the fridge, skipping the payment for the usage of the fridge. haha.

nothing! to hide.

ps. i am considering whether to switch over to a lefty for floorball. which means i could go down to zero again. steep learning curve, with some sacrifices, comes great benefits. question is, should i?

sales sales sales
Tuesday, January 08, 2008,

its the end of season sales again. with discounts up to 60%, who could resist that, seriously? hahaha. even if you know that your pocket had a hole in it already, when prices drops below a threshold limit.. $30 for a pair of topshop jeans.. gain sia.. even if the sizes don't fit, the colours don't match. you decided to spend your little bit of allowance on the clothes, not wanting to miss such great offers.

warning.. virus alert.

you have just been contacted the "BBB" virus.. the "buy buy buy" which is highly contagious (one shop starts sale, the rest followed suit) and had been proved to be detrimental to one's financial health, even though some experts argued that it can be seen as a form of retail therapy. whichever the case might be, the one footing the bill would bound to feel the pinch at the end of the month.. when the bills come knocking on the mail box. haha.

well, i think i contacted this virus.. now feeling the pinch. the hole gonna get bigger by the end of this month.. got to restrain myself a little, even though i hardly spend much on clothes and stuffs.

why can't we grow money on tree? haiz..

ps. i finally got my chance to play in the game, after sitting out for 2 games.. didn't scored any, but it felt really good to get to play. hope more would come. haha. going to work harder this sem.
