"26 people + 5days 4nights = 10 tonnes of fun"

Quoted from Shu Ning.

It was a trip that crossed the borders of Singapore. Haha, I haven been on a trip for damn long. This was something that we all can looked forward to, a break from the monotonous lives as Zai Nans and Nu. Although its a horrendous 12 hours of coach and boat rides, the scenery over at the destination was like WOW!

Fine beaches, clear sea with fishes swimming everywhere. Its really nice. As for the accommodation, its was a 4 stars resort.. so din expect anything spectacular. haha. The name of the resort is Arwana Perhentian Island Resort, one with the not so nice beach. There is another Resort on the other side of the island with the beach called the Long Beach. That one is just superb. haha. Of course, you would have to pay extra for that. Tips: you can take a boat ride (water taxi) from former resort or take a 20mins hike through the hills.

The highlight of the trip was the snorkeling experience in the open sea. We spent 2 days snorkeling. It took some time to get use to breathing through the tube. hahaha. From sea turtles, parrot fishes and lots of stripy fishes, to baby sharks, there are tonnes of fishes in the water. Not forgetting the clown fishes and sea urchins and cucumbers, but the corals ain't that colourful as compared to those in the documentary. haha. Its still interesting to be that close to the fishes. careful, they do bite. haha. Tips: Put on the lift jackets and prepare loaves of bread, the fishes love them. haha.

p.s. Crayfishes are known as Lobsters in Perhentian. dun get them mixed up. haha.

Canon 500D DSLR

After much waiting, I finally gotten my hands on a DSLR. Yippe.

still exploring the various functions of the camera.. reading up books and reviews.

the user manual is like a must to read, otherwise it might take forever to get the hang of the camera.

Today, just bought a lowepro bag, stealth reporter d100 aw for a $100. *money fly away*

but, its a good bargain, for a large storage (up to 1 or 2 lens), numerous compartments and dettachable thick padding. what more can i ask for?
ps. many thanks to those that made it possible. :)
