all boils down to money.. again
Wednesday, July 25, 2007,

it had always been that case.

MONEY.

money makes the world spins. although there is something money cant buy, for everthing else there is mastercard.. ermm.. okay, we cant do without money. they don't grow on tree, i wished they did. i would have turned the whole house into a forest. lol.

recently... okay okay, not so recent, i got this friend, angie who told me recently that she was going to start this project, "save the needy soul". wow, i didn't realise she is all that charitable to the society. well it turns out that the needy soul is actually her, herself. lol. i asked why, she said she was kind of broke after spending so much during this holiday with her friends who just came back from australia. hmm.. definitely one who values friends alot. anyway, why am i complaining about this? darn.. i think everyone faces the same problem.

INFLATION is the word.

with the daily expenses going up with the taxes, gst etc, we can only BLAME the 53%. u know who i am refering to. that petty gst package can only make the ends meet for a month or so.. why cant they just think further. according to my friend, he said that the medical expenses are increasing 5% year on year.. that would actually mean that if i dont do my braces now, i would have to pay even more for the same thing next year. to make thing a little bit worse, the price tag for the braces totals up to a hefty price of $4000.. faint.. furthermore, my current income equating to zero. haha.. think thats not really possible. the only consolation i got, is that i can put my name on the waitlist for the subsidies. but damn, must wait for at least a year to two. is the 25% discount worth the wait of 2 years? seriously.

i need to strike toto or 4d. ya, provided i start buying them. haha.

creative again?
Tuesday, July 24, 2007,

passed by the CREATIVE shop at marina square last friday, my friends saw this new product that creative just came out with. its the zen stone plus, the one on the right. and the amazing thing is that it is only selling at $99 with 2 gb of memory space. wow. i like the blue lcd words.. definitely much better than the one i am currently using, muvo n200.

i wouldn't have looked for a replacement if that mp3 player wasn't giving problems in the first place. playing songs without sound, that really one of a kind. i really have no idea what is wrong with it. i tried formatting it, updating the firmware, thinking that might just do the trick. guessed i was wrong and i had to resort to listen to fm radio throughout the whole journey to school. well, on the bright side, at least it still works as a fm receiver..haha.

oh btw, i met my roomie alan, together with charles at that shop. he too, was thinking of getting that piece of stone as well. maybe we both can get one each. just one note, that player casing seems a little fragil, hopefully it is worth the money.

ps. tight fist budget restraint lately.. haha. where is my cheque???

i ran into a wall
Sunday, July 22, 2007,

i wasn't looking at some girls, like all guys do.
i wasn't paying attention, i left the big picture out.
i wasn't looking, to where i was running to.
it wasn't suppose to happen in the first place.

i crashed into the wall.
only to realise, it was rather soft and bouncy.
one big wall, erected out of nowhere.

i got thrown back onto the ground.
sliding to a stop, i looked up.
it turned out to be a big fellow.

i bet, everyone is laughing.
what a joke i made of myself.
its, truly the joke of the day.

ps. this happened today, during the match against the eastview eagle. we won 6-1.

first blood
Friday, July 20, 2007,

revealing the rank no.1.. its the 1 on 1 drill, and i had always thought this drill to be quite simple and safe. yesterday, i was proved wrong. TOTALLY.

abit of the technical stuff, there are several versions of this drill. in this drill we are suppose to go in pair. along the 3 point line as in for basketball court, one will dribble the ball, varying his speed and the ultimate aim is to shoot at the goal. as for the other one, just follow close to that attacking blade side, preventing his from taking a shot at the goal. follow close, don't commit.

previously i was partnered with bala, but somehow i ended with all the bruises on my legs, arms etc. so i swooped my partner to kiong.. having only 5 pairs in total, my side with 2 pairs had to go through drill a couple more times. the first few times doing that drill turns out to be fine. it was his turn to attack. i tagged him closely, all the turns, fakes and he saw a opening in my defense.

he turned, took the chance.

i attempted to block the shot with the stick. the shot went through, i think.

he followed through with his stick. and the next moment, i was on the ground.

hands covering my face.. i rolled on the floor. they thought i was just play acting. which i usually did, what to do? i attended drogba's diving course. lol.

only this time, it was real. the blood was real. the pain was there. nobody came.

realising that, they came to my attention. it was all so bloody. they thought i got hit in the eye, as the blood covered my eye. good grief. i am at a total lost, how bad was i hit? need stitches? scarred face? would i become the next harry potter? as they cleaned up my wound, they got a clearer view of extent of the injury. 2 separate small cuts, and i wondering why did the blood kept flowing out?

a messed up bandage dressing by john, SAF paramedic level 2 trained. i never really trust the SAF trained.. lol. anyway, its better than nothing. all those fluid lost and together with the skipped dinner, i became dizzy. the vision became blurred, green and dim. hey, who dimmed the lights? i told them, i was going to black out liao.. they dragged me out and send me to the nearest clinic.

everything back to normal, just without my participation.. i sat there, resting till it was time for supper..haha. never to miss having supper at "179".

just not my day, i guessed.

do u have dreams like mine?
Thursday, July 19, 2007,

lately, i have been dreaming quite alot, which is kind of bad in a way. most of them are nightmare. lol. the contents of these dreams.. hmm.. cant really remember that clearly.

dream 1. i was in a room, together with someone else, laying on the bed. suddenly, a guy/monster/ghost popped through the window. i turned around and faced that person laying beside me. was it a corpse? i cant remembered the reason why i screamed and hid behind the door. it remained as that way until when i woke up.

dream 2. those typical dreams that i forgot to do something and ended up feeling quite shitty about it.

one thing that i am certain of, they are presented in black and white. NO COLOUR. i wondered why i had so many dreams lately. could it be the friction book i am currently reading now, titled "people dies". or was it the recent sundaytimes ghost story entry? it could also be the late supper that i had all this while? whatever it is the reason, just hope that things turn out to be fine at the end. the very end.

off i go for floorball training.

4:13 PM

double meaning
Tuesday, July 17, 2007,

"just remember that the world suck, we would have fall off."

gotten this quote from a t-shirt. sounds lame. i know.

11:05 PM

everyone's favourite

there is one drill in our rountine training, called "everyone's faourite". from the double quote, you would guess what i really meant. haha. basically, its the shuttle runs up and down the freaking court. sometimes without the balls, other times with the ball. whichever it is, the ending results is the same. its really tiring, so bad that your legs would give way.

we got introduced to another form of drill. currently, this one isn't given a name yet. i feel that this drill is rank no. 2 in term of insanity level and partly pleasure derived from the drill. sounds a bit the.. erm hem.. SM. here how it is being carried out. there are 2 queues, one at the centre side line, the other at the corner. the ball carrier at the side line will intiate the pass to the one standing at the corner. on receiving the ball, he then make a pass back. now, here is the painful and yet fun to some.. lol. after making that pass, he needs to run towards the ball carrier to block the shot. NO SIAMing, which includes turning your head away, twisting your body away and using hands to block. forfeit, 20 pushups. naturally, you would have a tendency to dodge the balls. the idea is to counteract your mind, take the hit. okay, the pleasure actually comes from the one shooting the ball.. hit it hard, aim for the body goal. its a stress releasing drill. lol. we going to do it over and over again, till we step up to block the shot.

HIT ME HARD, i exclaimed. haha.

counted my brusies before i wrote this. got a couple of them from the shots. haiz. floorball, its a violent game.

12:57 AM

total ownage
Wednesday, July 11, 2007,

i went all the way to tampines sport hall to catch 2 matches today. i accompanied by 2 fellow team mates yew kiong and sufiyan. dunno why i agreed to watch the matches in the first place, perhaps i was too bored at home.

anyway, the first match was meridian jc (girls) against victoria jc (girls). pity, i missed my friend's sister in action because i came in late. by the time i find myself a nice seat along the sideboards, his sis had already been made to sit in during the game. reason, she didn't perform well enough. well, that reminds of louise, our coach. she once said that she wouldn't hesitate to make players sit in if they don't perform well, no hard feelings. abit more about her, she was elbowed during a game against sim or was it smu and had to receive 6 stitches. ouch! thats really painful.

the no.12 from MJC was the star striker. even though a mere 17 years old, she was playing in the woman top league.. power sia. her trademark, quick turns and skilful stick work. i bet when she grow up, she definitely gonna make a name for herself. the ending score, MJC 4 - VJC 2.

the next game packs alot more speed, power and faster tempo. MJC (guys) against NJC (guys). right from the start, the players from MJC had appeared to be more confident as compared to their counterparts. not long after the faceoff, the MJC made their debut, with their captain tearing down the opponent defense. a promising start for them. the skillful, precise passing made them stand out during the game. there were couple of spectacular goals scored by MJC. of which, the one that left the deepest impression was scored by the bo ta(cant remember which number). striking from a distance from the 3 pointer line (using basket court to visualise), the ball flew in slightly above the goalie shoulder into the goal. due to the speed and angle, the ball bounced out of the goal, like he had hit the crossbar instead. it was a goal. final score 12-0. total ownage sia.

watching them played had urged me to train harder. for we had a long long way to go.. many more matches to come. for the name of NTU lies in our hands. haha.. abit exaggerate. whatever.
