i was on a rush.. sort of. so i quickly slipped on my shoes and hurried my way to school. after taking a few of steps, i began to feel like there is something struck in my shoes. the first thought that came to my mind was it could be due to the socks. Acting on that intuition, i pulled up my socks. hmm.. that didn't do the trick. i wriggled my toes again, its something really soft.. cant possibly be someone trying to play a prank on me with stuffed tissues in my shoes.. so i took off the shoe and took a peep at it. a pair of tiny eyes looked back to me. that instance, it really freaked me out, so much so that i dropped the shoe to the ground. nothing came out. i shooked the shoe harder, trying to force that creature out. finally, it's sticky palms gave way and it flew out of the shoe.. lying on his back, it was grasping for air after a failed attempt to fake death.. or maybe its the smell of the shoes and socks. lol. whichever the case, that lizard either got swept away by the cleaner of our block, or it could scrambled its way to another "safe" place to hide.

its kind of disgusting though. morale of the story, wash your socks and check your shoes before slipping them on, for you would never know what lies beneath that cover.

ps. i do wash my sock pretty often.
