as you can see from the picture, this is is the first car that i got my hands behind the wheels. its a semi-auto car with 5 gears.
haha. by now, i think most of you would be thinking since
when kevin owns a car?? well, i don't. this car was rented, roughly about $70 per day, exclusive of the petrol.
lucky my brother wasn't free to pick me up during the afternoon, i wondered how i would have survived with the heavy traffic. safe journey on public transport.
heng heng. apparently, i left behind my race bib and chip at the hostel, prior to the race tomorrow. its the forgetful part of me that enable me to drive the car on the 2 way trip from home to hostel.
haha.
with 2 lives (my brother and his girlfriend) on my hands, i drove the car, beginning my maiden voyage on the expressway. throughout the journey, my brother took up the role as the driving instructor and navigator,
scrutinizing my every movement.
lol.
the basics kind of slipped off my mind, clearing the hump at 30km/h, negotiating a right turn at 35km/h, cutting into others lane (
kenna high beamed by the taxi driver). eventually, after a refresher course, i kind of get the hang of it. but definitely need more practise.
know the basics, look far ahead, plan in advance,
foresee any obstacles.
ps. thanks for being my passengers, though it seems like its a ride from hell.
lol. buckled up, here we go again. long term goal: be a safe driver, don't rush things. till then, i doubt i would have the chance to send anyone home yet. i promise to drive slowly and safely. haha.
